Chitkara University Publications Journals follow a Diamond Open Access (DOA) policy. Chitkara University provides all the expenses for the publications of the CUP journals. It is embedded in the framework of the Open Solutions concept promoted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which promotes the concept of digital public goods that are shared under open licenses and are supported by appropriate policies, infrastructure, and capacity building. UNESCO is an active proponent of Diamond Open Access in accordance with the 2021 Recommendation of the Organization on Open Science. This initiative also adds to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the UN Pact for the Future, and the UN Global Digital Compact.
